A Journey Through Firelight and Feeling.
Moon Full at 5:43 PM AEST

There’s a firelight feeling to this moon—the kind that doesn’t need a hearth, just a wide sky full of stars, the crunch of boots on earth, and the whisper of something waiting beyond the ridge. And goodness, I can feel it. This tug-of-war between restlessness and reflection. The desire to pack my bags—and at the same time—unpack my thoughts.
This is a bold, expansive lunation. And if the weather holds, I’ll be under it, somewhere out in the wild, tucked into my sleeping bag beneath the trees, having spent the day walking uphill with my full pack and my whole heart.
It’s something I do every year if I can—mark my birthday with a great big walk. It’s not just about being in nature. It’s about being in motion. Carrying what I’ve carried all year and giving myself the time and space to walk alongside it. I’ve often said that my backpack becomes a metaphor for the emotional weight I’ve held—grief, love, lessons, growth, the people I’ve supported. Every hill I climb is like a conversation with those burdens, and every meal I eat lightens the load just a little.

When I come home, I haven’t released it all. My pack still feels heavy—because it is. But the things inside it have transformed. They’ve become tools I can carry into the next twelve months. Courage. Determination. Perspective. I come home with sore legs and a grateful heart. Grateful for my shelter. My home. My food. My strength. And the knowing that I can continue to carry what matters most.
And I know I’m not the only one walking this kind of path. Many of my Awen sisters are moving through heavy seasons right now. Some are holding space for loved ones who are unwell. Others are navigating their own health journeys, or finding their way through grief, loss, and big transitions. This moon is for them too.
You don’t need hiking boots to feel what this full moon brings. You might be journeying inward, resting through something big, or gathering courage to take the next step. Either way, this lunation is a cosmic checkpoint—a moment to pause, breathe, and ask yourself where you’ve been… and where you’re going next.
✨ Astrology Insights Sagittarius Full Moon | Gemini Sun
This Sagittarius full moon stretches us between two signs of learning and exploration. Gemini gathers facts and asks questions. Sagittarius seeks truth and spiritual understanding. Together, they call us to align our thoughts with our soul’s direction.
Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, is the pilgrim, the wanderer, the truth-seeker. This moon carries fire and philosophy. It doesn’t want you to hide. It wants you to stand in your knowing and be brave enough to ask:
What path am I really walking?
And where is it leading me?
And how am I feeling in the midst of it all?
The Jupiter–Mars trine is a blessing. It adds a powerful surge of momentum. There’s fuel here. For emotional breakthroughs. For passionate truth-telling. For moments of clarity after months of carrying what felt too heavy. It doesn’t promise ease—but it does offer strength. The kind of energy that can turn a corner inside you, or give you the nudge to keep going.
So if you’re feeling weighed down—physically, emotionally, or energetically—know this: you’re not broken. You’re walking. You’re carrying. And this moon sees you.

🌾 Final Thoughts
In the northern hemisphere, this moon is often called the Strawberry Moon, named for the seasonal berry harvest. Sometimes we use that name here in Australia too, but our winter landscapes tell a different story.
We’re not gathering berries from the bush.
We’re gathering insight. We’re harvesting perspective.
This moon reminds us that everything we’ve carried—every hard-won lesson, every heartache, every little breakthrough—is part of what we bring forward now. We’re not defined by the weight of it. We are shaped by how we choose to carry it.
So whether you’re adventuring into the forest, staying close to home, or simply trying to find your footing again—this full moon is a mirror and a milestone. Let it show you how strong you’ve become. Let it whisper what’s next.
I’ll be walking under it. And I’ll be thinking of you.
Blessed be,
Angela 💫
