I’m slowly dragging myself out of holiday mode and back into the treatment room… and honestly, I’m really looking forward to it 🤍

If you’re anything like me, the year doesn’t really start until February. January is more about easing back, finding your feet, and landing somewhere calm after the busyness of Christmas.

Yes, I’m doing this practice alongside all the lovely women who have enrolled, and already I can feel its quiet power of transformation.

I’m opening and allowing this year to unfold gently and openly… holding space for plans and creativity, for love and hope.

One of the questions we’re sitting with in New Year, New Lens today is this:
What has carried you through the year just passed, even if it wasn’t perfect or easy?

For me, it was doing my best to stick to my routine… especially my morning rituals, even on the hard days. During what was a really tough year, there were only about ten days where those rituals slipped, usually due to exhaustion or needing to be with a loved one.

This practice matters deeply to me. I live with a mental health condition that requires care and ongoing maintenance, and my daily rituals create a buffer zone. They help my days feel gentle instead of jarring, grounded instead of chaotic, and allow me to check in with myself rather than ignore what I need.

There were many things, and many people, who supported me through 2025. But this was one thing I worked hard to maintain… and it made all the difference.

Right now it’s almost at a bare-bones point… just a few quiet remnants from 2025 still sitting here. On the 1st, it will be cleared and fresh, ready to begin again.

Every January, I choose to meet the year through a new lens.
Not by fixing or forcing anything… but by gently shifting how I see my days, my thoughts, and my life. Gratitude has been one of the most reliable ways I know to do that.

The first thing I’ll be doing here in 2026 is my annual gratitude practice, New Year, New Lens. It’s a guided month of daily reflection and journaling — a way of consciously choosing how you meet the year ahead.
